Papers of William H. Ingham, 1844-1856.

The papers of William H. Ingham consist of five letters that he wrote to his brother Erastus. There is also a letter to Erastus from their brother Samuel. William Ingham's letters describe Iowa in the 1850s. He tells of surveying land and towns, of hunting the plentiful wildlife, and of business opportunities in Iowa and the West.
